About Truly Julie
Finding the time to prioritise small moments of self-care throughout each day has been essential in my journey to optimum health and well-being. It is now my goal to inspire other women to do the same and it is my passion to guide them along the way.
With Truly Julie membership you will receive a daily dose of this inspiration, as well as regular practical tips and advice.
I truly believe that by combining all of the good things in life, such as a healthy diet, yoga and meditation (to name just a few!), that you can nourish your body and fuel your mind to be the happiest, healthiest version of yourself possible.
How do I know that these things work? Because they worked for me!
I grew up as your typical skinny American cheerleader, gorging on junk food and ignoring the harm my diet was doing to my body because I thought being thin meant being healthy! But the truth is that I felt rubbish! I was exhausted, I was moody and my skin didn’t look so hot either!
I eventually decided to change my lifestyle after a lot of research into nutrition and exercise. I cut out all the rubbish from my diet, embraced plant-based foods and I exercised regularly. Before long my skin started to look great, my energy levels soared and I felt much happier and balanced. In addition to all of these great improvements, I also began to get physically stronger.
I have continued with this way of life ever since and started to take it even more seriously after having my fourth child several years ago. At this time I began practicing yoga more regularly and I also started studying for certain nutrition-focused qualifications to really deepen my understanding.
I first studied for a Certification in Plant-Based Nutrition from Cornell University before becoming a Certified Holistic Health Counsellor through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, the world’s largest nutrition school! I am also now a certified yoga instructor, having completed my training under Baron Baptiste, the founder of the Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga Institute. After my training, I went to India to study yoga with Kamal Singh at Tattvaa Yogashala.
As a mother of four, a wife and a business owner, I find that making the time to care for myself keeps me energised so that I can do all of these things to the best of my ability!

My health, fitness and well-being advice is specifically designed to be worked into your busy schedule in order to support you on your journey to health and happiness. With an abundance of guidance and community support on the website, and tips and advice sent regularly to your inbox, you will easily be able to keep your self-care at the forefront of your mind.
By choosing to incorporate all of the concepts of self-care that I have found to be useful on my journey, I believe that you will be equipped to reach your goals. However, there is no requirement to embrace all of the concepts if you feel like one or more of them isn’t for you!
How do Truly Julie Women support each other?
The website is a community first and foremost. It is a place for women to come together and share their health, fitness and well-being experiences and struggles. It is a place for them to ask questions and seek answers. It is a place to make new friends who will motivate, inspire and encourage you on your journey as much as I will!
In addition to the support you will receive on the website itself, you will also gain access to the members only Facebook group. Within this group Truly Julie women support and encourage each other whilst also sharing their own ambitions and progress. My regularly scheduled “ask me anything” chats will also take place within the Facebook group and enable you to easily get the answers you need for the health and fitness questions that you have!
